ABOUT US 

akiHAUS Design Studio is a little
boutique interior design consultancy
firm that has won multiple design awards
over the years, most notably, the
Interior Design Firm of the Year
at the Lookbox Design Awards in 2018,
and most recently, the Gold Award for
2 projects at the Singapore Interior 
Design Awards 2021.

We like to think of ourselves as space
artisans who indulge in the crafting of
space, light & materiality to create
beautiful & functional works.

Much of the magic that happnes here
involves copious amounts of Ethiopian
Arabica Roasts, Islay Single Malts &
Italian Reds. Yes, we appreciate all the
little things that life has to offer,
just as we appreciate all the unique
life stories of those whom we design
for, drawing inspiration from them to
create bespoke works that are unique to
each and every one of our Clients.

Lawrence's creative journey
began at a career talk during his
teenage years, where a presentation
on architecture as an art form that
traverses intricately between form
& function so intrigued him that it
eventually led him to architecture
school.

After practicing for a few years
upon graduation, Lawrence took a
sabbatical from architecture to try
out graphic designing and even ran
a bakery. Yes, he bakes & cooks!

These explorative years affirmed
his passion for interior design &
architecture and led to a return
to the profession and his eventual
founding of akiHAUS in 2010.

Lawrence holds a Master's Degree
in Architecture from the National
University of Singapore. He is an
associate member of the Singapore
Institute of Architects, a council
member of the Society of Interior
Designers Singapore & is accredited
as an Interior Designer Practitioner
Class 1 (ID1) with the Singapore
Interior Design Accreditation
Council.
