akiHAUS Design Studio is a boutique
interior design consultancy firm
accredited with the Singapore Interior
Design Accreditation Scheme (SIDAS).
With a background in architecture, the
studio's approach towards interior
design goes beyond stylistics and
superficial decorations - we believe in
creating meticulously crafted spaces
that are not only well-defined for its
users, but also resonate with the
existing architecture.


At akiHAUS, we see design as an ever
evolving art form and continuously
explore new typologies/materials/
ideas/techniques to refine our craft,
relishing in our ability to work with
all genres of design. The result is
that no two projects are alike, though
they all share the same DNA - that of
spatial & functional sensibilities.


Naturally, we take great joy in
collaborating with clients to explore
their lifestyle & design aspirations
to create bespoke works that will be
timeless and uniquely theirs.

Lawrence was first introduced to
architecture at a career talk during
his secondary school days. His intrigue
with the uniqueness of the profession
eventually led him to architecture
school. During his formative years, he
also dabbled in graphic design & even
ran a bakery - designing cakes! - all
of which he saw as creative fields in
different forms. These explorations
reaffirmed his passion for interior
design & architecture, leading to the
eventual founding of akiHAUS in 2010.


Lawrence holds a Master's Degree
in Architecture from the National
University of Singapore and is
accredited as an Interior Designer
Class 1 (ID1) with the Singapore
Interior Design Accreditation Scheme.
He is a council member of the Society
of Interior Designers Singapore
and an associate member of the
Singapore Institute of Architects.


Lawrence was most recently named as
one of the recipients of Singapore's
30 Influential Spatial & Interior
Designers Awards 2025 by the Society
of Interior Designers Singapore.
